Vandy's Software Solutions — Software on tap

Behind the Bar

The best software doesn't start with code. It starts with connection.

I'm Noah, a full-stack software engineer in Kansas City. I build web applications for businesses that need something specific and can't buy it off a shelf. Small shop, so you talk to the person writing the code.

I love working directly with clients because someone has an idea they're excited about, and I want to bring that to life. I take a few projects at a time so each one gets real attention.

What's on tap

Custom Apps

Full web applications built from scratch — auth, data, integrations, the whole thing.

Marketing Sites

Fast, good-looking sites that make your business easy to find and easy to hire.

Portals & Dashboards

Client-facing logins and internal tools that replace the spreadsheet everyone's afraid to touch.

Online Stores

Storefronts, checkout, and inventory wired up so orders land where they need to go.

Renovations

You have software that works but hurts. I clean it up, speed it up, and make it maintainable.

Integrations

Getting your tools to talk to each other so nobody's copying data between tabs.

Just the Right Pour

The most expensive software is the software nobody needed.

It's tempting to build for the company you hope to be in five years. I'd rather build for the one you are now, with room to grow into the rest. That usually means fewer features built properly, and a plan for what comes next instead of a bill for all of it up front.

House rules

HOUSE
RULES

One master agreement signed once, a statement of work for each project, and an NDA any time you want one. Scope, price, and ownership all go in writing before I start — so nothing about the paperwork is a surprise later.

The regulars

[Client quote goes here — one or two sentences about what you built and what changed for their business.]

— Name, Title, Company

[Second quote. The strongest ones name a specific outcome rather than saying you were nice to work with.]

Estate planning & document management · next-of-kin.us

A preparedness tool for families. Estate planning firms offer it to their clients so everything — documents, accounts, wishes — is organized in advance instead of assembled during the worst week of someone's life. Also sold directly to families who don't have a planner.

Client work · house flipping & listings

A site for a flipper to show off finished renovations and current listings — before-and-after work that sells itself once people can actually see it.

Ask the bartender

What does a project cost?

It depends on scope, which is exactly why the SOW exists. After a short conversation I'll put a fixed price and timeline in writing before anyone commits to anything.

How long does a build take?

A marketing site runs a few weeks. A full custom application runs a few months. I'd rather give you an honest range up front than a fast number I have to walk back.

Will you work on software someone else built?

Yes — that's a good share of the work. I'll start with a short review of what's there and tell you plainly whether it's worth repairing or replacing.

What happens after launch?

Defects are covered during the warranty window named in your SOW. Past that, you can bring me back for changes as needed or set up a monthly retainer if you'd rather have standing time on the calendar.

Do you sign NDAs?

Happily, on request, before we get into specifics. Confidentiality is also built into the MSA.

Are you local?

Based in Kansas City and glad to meet in person. Most work happens remotely, so location isn't a requirement on your end.

What'll it be?

Ready for a conversation? No charge ;)
